The 2010 Pasadena City College women's badminton team did something that no previous Lancers' team could accomplish Wednesday. PCC went to the wire in capturing the college's first Southern California Regional championship in the sport, defeating San Diego City College, 12-9, at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Dr. Jeanette Mann, Pasadena Area Community College District Board of Trustees member, has been elected first vice president of the California Community College Trustee Board. Mann will serve on the 21-member board whose members are elected by the 72 local governing boards.
