Pasadena Police have reported that a 17-year-old girl shot at a house party in Pasadena late Saturday evening was not the intended target of the shooting.
The incident took place at a house party around 10:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Westgate Street. Some 100 people were in attendance of the party.
It is believed that a stray bullet struck the girl in the back of the head after she attempted to flee a fight that broke out in front of the house, officials reported Monday.
The girl is now in critical condition, but doctor’s say she will survive.
Investigators still have no suspects, but continue to search for witnesses and any clues.
