Pasadena’s Deficit Widens

According to the city, a widening budget gap (AKA structural deficit) has been caused primarily by the economic downturn and the crisis at the state budget level.  City Manager Michael Beck will present a recommended strategy for reducing spending and increasing revenues tonight as the council and the community prepare for the next fiscal year’s budget (July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2010).
