Early Morning Fire Cause $300,000 Damage to Home in Pasadena

The Pasadena Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire in the 1800 block of El Sereno. Units arrived to find a well involved two story house with 30 foot flames from the roof.
Companies operating on the interior of the structure were faced with a large amount of fire as well as a collapse of the rear portion of the structure. This portion was the location for the stairs to access the second floor. The fire was knocked down at 0106 with companies remaining on scene until 0431.
The fire is currently under investigation with follow-up needed due to the collapsed portion of the structure. The loss was $250,000 to the structure and $50,000 contents. There were not any injuries to civilians or firefighters.
