The City of Pasadena is preparing to install new parking machines along S. Lake Avenue which will direct people to a centralized paying machine, after numerous complaints from businesses and residents.
The current signs, which replaced individual meters that lined the street last August, point out that parking must be paid for, but does not cite the paying machine.
Residents and businesses have also sounded off complaints about parking in the surrounding area behind stores on S. Lake Avenue, on both sides of Del Mar Boulevard. The S. Lake Parking Place Commission operates, manages, and controls the parking places within the district, and regulates maintenance and operation.
