La Canada Residents Brace for Possible Mud Flows

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Los Angeles County. Heavy, isolated thunderstorms are expected.
Rain rates could reach thresholds for minor debris flow activity at most recent burn areas weakened by the Station Fire. Lingering showers are also possible for Friday, with somewhere between 0.25 and 0.50 inches of rainfall expected. The main brunt of the rain is expected Saturday evening with a warmer yet stronger storm passing through Los Angeles.

Rainfall totals:– 0 50 0.50 to 1.0 inch mainly San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara Co. and
Channel Islands– 0.25-0.75 inch for Ventura and Los Angeles Co.
There will be isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms mainly in central coast
areas.
