Fire Guts Apt. on Queensberry Road in Pasadena Sunday Morning

A distraught resident of the single story apt. unit talks with firefighters outside her home on Queensberry. The woman managed to get her pets out safely.

At approximately 12:30pm Sunday, Pasadena Fire DEPT. responded multiple  engines
The fire caused nearly $100,000 worth of damage to the Pasadena duplex.

The fire started in a bedroom and mainly damaged the west unit.
About two-dozen fire personnel extinguished the fire, which caused an estimated $75,000 to the structure and another $20,000 worth of damage to the contents of the home, fire officials said.

The fire may have been caused by too many electrical appliances being plugged into a single outlet, police and fire officials said.

and units to 1842 Queensberry Rd., where reportedly there may have been trapped individuals . No people were hurt however as the apt had just been vacated.

Fire and smoke were visible upon arrival and heavy winds initially hampered efforts. However the fire was quickly knocked down but gutted one apt and damaged the next door unit. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
