Rose Float Assn To Host Mixer at Float Barn Dec. 17

Sierra Madre Chamber of Commerce Holiday Mixer will be hosted by the Sierra Madre Rose Float Association from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at the Rose Float Barn, 587 E. Sierra Madre Blvd., Sierra Madre.
The mixer will offer food, door prizes, lots of fun, plus a chance to see the progress on the float that will be Sierra Madre’s entrant in the New Year’s Day parade, the Tournament of Roses, on January 1, 2009.
This not-to-be-missed mixer is a chance for residents and business owners to mingle and share their mutual love of their community, and also check on the progress on the float.
The hosts, the Sierra Madre Rose Float Association, will show off this year’s float, “Bollywood Dreams” and undoubtedly will seek volunteer petal pasters to be certain the decorations are completed in a timely manner.
The enthusiastic hosts from the Rose Float Association include Robert Young, President; Don Mills, Vice-President; Ilona Linden, Secretary; Dave Colcher, Gregg Murphy and Connie Brown, board members.

The Sierra Madre Chamber Holiday Mixer is $10 for Chamber members and $15 for non-members, at the door. Reservations are requested by the Chamber no later than Monday, Dec. 15. Please call (626) 355-5111 for information and to make a reservation.
